Leif is a professional racer. He started racing in 1983 with a tuned up streetcar and kept moving up to faster cars and started running Top Methanol Funny Cars 1996. He bought his first winning car, a 96 Pontiac Firebird, in 1997. And in the end of the season it paid off with his first victory at a race in Finland and later on the quickest run for the class that season in England. 1998 was the year of success when he won the FIA European championship and the race fans hearts touring the European racetracks. He continued with a close to championship win runner up in 99, but came back winning his second FIA championship in 2000 and while keeping the speed up, his third in 2001.
